Enough With The Titles!

I didn't realise I was so out of touch.

I went shopping tonight with the aim of updating my wardrobe with more city-friendly clothing. Basically, I need clothes that can be seen in public now that I will be venturing out into it.

I think I'll be going back into hiding.

The clothes are all just weird. We have already laughed at all of the clothes worn in the eighties, why bring them back? Is it so that we can laugh at ourselves in a few years too? Even the stuff that I could have seen myself wearing just didn't cut it.
It's all tacky, crappy, over-priced s**t.

I'm going to become a nudist!

I know... fashion is quite tragic at the moment... seriously... I find it hard to find anything half decent! Doesnt stop me wearing what i want to though. I refuse to wear what everyone else is wearing or the bases that i know i'll just look as stupid.

No need to be a nudist, just where whatever you feel like wearing and srewe if it is "in style" or not or what the public thinks of it.

I never dress for anyone but myself

I always buy what I feel comfortable in. Don't really care what's in style or not.

I'm the same pussnboots and Niamh, I know what suits me and what I look good in, I don't follow fads, unless it suits me.

    Dark muse:
The main problem I had was that the shops only had the latest fashion stuff and almost no normal stuff So frustrating!

All of my clothes are falling apart or mysteriously missing. I have to go shopping soon... I love thrift store stuff and obviously bright, insane colors that nobody else wears xD. I don't have a problem shopping because I have no fashion sense and just wear mis-matched, tacky crap that everybody seems to love.

Woo, nudist! You could come visit, there's a nudist beach near me,

I think that we live in an age where pretty much anything goes. But I think, if I have read your entry properly, you were not pleased about a certain kind of fashion that is pasted all over the place and is not a fashion that dazzles ya? Or some such thing...

I agree with Becca in that second hand stores are a treasure trove for cool stuff that is almost brand new and a fraction of the cost.

yepps go with the thift/second hand/cahrity store thing.
But word of warning from someone who has worked in those shops always always always wash whatever it is before you wear it.

I discovered a bag of clothes form when I was 12-14 the other day and I still fit in them! ( not really suprising since back then I bought men size XXXL tshirts I have begun wearing them.
Then again I have a couple of tshirts my dad bought back from germany when I was 6 that I still wear , only in the house though because they are completly beyond teh stae when they can be seen but I love old clothes

LOL I have always stuck to jeans, whatever jazzed up, bright, weird shirt or dress I can throw over them (be it from a thrift store, or something I invented out of the clearance racks), and converse (and always, ALWAYS a scarf. I don't care how hot it is).

Wear what you want to wear, as long as you feel comfy and confident! Being a nudist would be fun, but my scarves and shoes would miss me, and I them, yea, verily.
