LOL. I wish I could help, if you go to my blog and look up audio books there are some suggestions there. What's wrong wit your neck and shoulder? Serious?

I'd go for something professional - most public libraries have a good selection of audio books.

I've had a problem for over 2.5 months now. i've got x-rays at the end of next month of my left clavical and thoracic spine to see if there is any issues with my bone structure. possible curvature. or something. then there is the "whiplash" type thingy going on with my neck which makes it impossible to read and tendonitits in my shoulder. When i injure myself i seriously do it in style!

Oh I love audio books Niamh. I've written about it in a number of places. There's is at least one, possibly two, on the boards. If you do a search you will find it and many comments. I believe I also commented onOpti's blog.

I love audio books, too. My local library has a good selection. I'm sorry that your neck is hurting that badly.

I love audio books, but I tend to listen to ones that are of books that I have already read. So I don't really know what to recommend if you want something "new".

Finding the right reader is as important as finding the right book. I listen to a lot of books on tape (CD).
