Phil,
Sounds like that day was truly powerfull on many levels! My friend Rob was on an actual self discovery mission after being released from Pro baseball and having his life pretty much altered, in his eyes the most negative extreme. We had a great 4 days and he came to some closure around some issues and found that he needed to go back home regardless of pride to be with his family and discover more. He is doing well now, I was scared for a bit (not rely).
What a foolish woman, couldn't see God right infront of her huh? Oh well karmic laws will leave her with enhanced mundaness. Unevolved yin with no awarness of the completion before her. No worries man, I hope this new love may keep you in the highest of spirits. How is sobriety? I hope you are still on track bro! I would like to def keep in touch and maybee get together sometime. Maybee my wife to be (not engaged yet but just know) and myself could adventure to the North some time. Keep in touch, how is your boy doing with football? My team is 2-3 with 2 real tough losses. Shoot me off an e-mail whenver you get a chance.Or give me a call if you ever feel the need to talk.

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I am the
guy you picked up hitching in brunswick and took me
all the way to where I was going in Old Town.
A weird thing happened that day. I was all head-up
about getting back to be with my girl, the girl I
wanted to marry. I was going to my daughter's house
to stop off to get a ride the next leg of my journey -
to Calais. Well, my kid was not there, and her door
was locked. I wasn't sure what to do. Across the
quad, an attractive lady was busily watering her herbs
and flowers - she let me use her cel phone to contact
my daughter, and ultimately my girlfriend, to get a
ride home. I didn't know it then but when I called my
"girlfriend", she was with another guy, and had been -
for a while, ****ing around behind my back at my other
home and my dad's camp, at his place, and who knows
where else. I got home that day using a car lent to
me by my my ex-wife's boyfriend - a crazy set of
circumstances. My girl showed up where I was
celebrating 4 years of sobriety - suprised as hell,
and with this other guy.
It took a month of lonely nights and realizing that "I
just need some space, wait for me", really meant "I
need someone elses attention and don't tell everyone
what a cheat I am". Night after night, alone, guts
crawling, asking myself at 3am "how can I make her
come back?", finally led up the me getting the guts up
to say "Give me your key, please come home and pack
your ****." It hurt like hell.
So I have been busy. I am better now. Another wierd
thing though, is this: For the past several months,
my daughter knew the nature and quality of the
girlfriends false-affection for me and talked about
wanting me to meet a friend of hers who was really
nice. I kept saying, "I'm in a relationship and I
want it to work, the last thing I need is to mix some
other woman into the batter and foul things up."
After a lonely month, I was going to my grandson's 1st
birthday, sadly alone, and called my daughter and said
"introduce me to that girl", Eve, my daughter said,
"she's already coming to the party".
Turns out, this girl is the one watering the flowers
who let me use her phone and she has been waiting
patiently ever since. She is a beautiful, sexy and
kind woman who is DIAMETRICALLY opposite to my last
nightmare and I feel like I have finally met my soul
mate.
SO I think the day we met was a magical day of destiny
- didn't it seem strange to you too?
Enough of that.
On another note, an unprecidented thing has happened
up here along the canadian border. They have started
up a peewee league of Football whose teams a made up
of both AMerican and Canadian kids - As far as we
know, it's never been done. THere is no football in
Calais, and this league in St Stephen New Bruinswick
probablly couldn't work with out American involvement.
So my boy is back to playing what he loves and
getting to know kids across the border - it is really
cool.
Maybe you could come down and give them a pep talk or
just learn about this unique thing that is going on
here.
ANy way, thanks for the ride and the spirtual
experience - it was great.
Love
Phil
