Oh, just a note to say hello; it's been awhile!

My mother-in-law is still hospitalized, having had her knee replaced a couple months back. She is so frail but still trying to get back on her feet. I go and see her a lot lately; she is quite blue about having to be in the hospital. Sad, really.

I have also been reading a lot more (instead of hanging around my favorite internet places, not mentioning any names, natch).

As well, I have been more vigilant in piano practice time these days. I didn't make a New Year's resolution for it, (don't believe in making promises that may or may not be kept) -- but since 2009 began, I have fervantly tried to practice two to three hours a day. Things are going really good and I feel better about myself. There is just something calming about tackling a piece. Lots of hard work, but SO worth it.

I want to talk about the weather, but I feel that I have bored you too much already with this weather of the Prairies. Well, since I brought it up (lol), we had been undergoing our Spring Thaw. All that snow had to go somewhere ... to the rivers and then to give us a flood scare. Then, we had a heckuva storm that brought fresh snow (I shoveled twice, honest) and then more cold weather. So the 'flood' situation was on hold. And now, it is back to melting and we have even more wet than we started out with. All I can hope for is that there is no precipitation for quite a while, till the fields all dry out, etc., etc.

Well, that is about it. I just wanted to blog about what is going on in my world.

I noticed that there are some new faces here at LitNet, really nice folks! Yeah, this is a good place to be ... a calm in a storm ... a place to pour some tea and curl up with a really fantastic book!
