I'm a Diced Tomato

My first Shakespeare

!!!!

I'm reading my first Shakespeare. It's The Merchant of Venice. I love it! <3 I can't believe I didn't start reading any Shakespeare earlier. It's because I have the Complete works of Shakespeare in one giant book and I didn't want to carry that back and forth to school. During the summer I will read more of his works!

I'm also reading Wuthering Heights and I'm like barfing whenever I read it. Sorry WH fans. It's like a 19th century soap opera or something. I just really can't stand books that are all about love. They bug me. I must finish it, though, for school...it's such a breath of fresh air to TMOV, though.

I have also finished my Regency dress. It's basically butchered if you know the pattern or the style really well. Oh well. Next time I'll be so pro at making one. maybe I'll work on a winter Rengency dress this summer.

So I'm pretty much married to YouTube now, so I must be off...to go watch YouTube.

EDIT-Whoah, I have more than 1,000 views for my blog. 0_0

Great news on your first Shakespeare, Lily. Perhaps you can join our Shakespeare Discussion group when you're out of school. Shakespeare is the greatest.

Ah You Tube where LisaNova once noticed me before she got real popular. Current favorites are Happy SLip and Katers 17. I've tried reading Wutering Heights but have never got thru it. I just don't feel any empathy for the characters.

Yes, I think I will! Thank you!

What I find interesting is that a lot of people don't think Billy wrote those plays. People say he wrote about courtly things that he couldn't have known since he was of the commonfolk. It's like a member of the royal court used him as mouthpiece so to speak. I find it all very interesting.

I am reading The Tempest, and I am completely "wowed!" For some reason I considered Tempest to be a minor work, but I am enjoying it as much, if not more, than Hamlet or Macbeth.

Miss Niamh: I'm still not done with it yet. I've been procrastinating on reading it. (I just starting re-reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy last night, heh heh.) Not like I have to get it done anytime soon. I'm almost done...

I am so going on a Shakespeare binge this summer. I can't wait! Thanks for the birthday wishes and saying that I rule.
