Heart Attack--Quick Wrapup

I have started this entry at least four times but it is being stubborn at coming to fruition.
The truth of the matter is that after the 'procedure' there was very little of interest to relate from Friday morning until Saturday afternoon.
To answer the question that came up more then I expected - the uniform was pajama bottoms and the backless shirt so any visits from Logos would have been chaste and she would have suffered great disappointment at a rare opportunity lost. Sigh.
The only TV show I indulged in was Friday Night Lights which is a favorite whose renewal by NBC is a combination miracle/celebration but I strongly doubt a fourth season will come to pass.
By Saturday my charm is cracked and lacking and I am definitely becoming the grumpy dinosaur. Wanting to go home and get back to what is left of my life that strangely is not going to be all that different then what came before. No singing duets of "I Went Skydiving" for me as that song annoys me no end for reasons I'm not sure of.
On Saturday Ruth and I argue about generics and Krogers and prescriptions and one bit of news arises. Seems Uncle Sam might actually give these to me for free. This is a revelation as I have never joined their Tri-care program but perhaps some things are free. I obtain the drugs on Monday and we shall see.
Ruth also has to get to work on time Saturday so Mike is called and asked to bring me home which he does. The kids offer to take my dog Onyx for a day or two so he won't jump on me but I want his reassuring presence and I politely decline. Man's best friend and all that.
Et tu Brutus!
When we arrive at my home I let Mike enter the house first convinced Onyx will be jumping all the place welcoming me home. I have a better shot at getting a singing telegram from Logos. Onyx jumps all right--all over Michael and COMPLETELY ignores me. Sigh.
I send the kids along. Onyx sits off to the side while I consider the touching scene from the Odyessey when Ulysees comes home from his trials and tribulations to a loyal ever vigilant canine whose sole purpose was to see his master one final time and die happy for the viewing. I console myself that maybe he senses I'm under the weather. I believe that not for a minute but fully aware I need to behave or lie to Kizzo take your pick.
I call Andave Ya as is proper since her family was first to be informed. My friend Steve (inBaltimore) had touched base that morning and a quick call to my sister completes all the tidings of good joy I'm up to. I check Litnet for updates and see I'm far behind on keeping up with blogs and take a shower and finally rest in my own bed.
Belatedly and as usual I give thanks to a gracious God and his mysterious ways.
I know this wrap-up is somewhat lacking in detail but time has been dragging along and I wanted to move on a bit. Monday was a bit of run around getting drugs and paperwork and excusals from work. I'm on day two now back at AAA and the welcome there was heartfelt and nice (which made up for the total lack of visitors from co-workers last week. Liked but not loved--sigh.) We take what we can get and generally expect less so it's all good.
NEXT: Who knows (except the Shadow)
