My rekindled love for the south

First off, I was born and raised in colorado. And I have never lived anywhere else for more than maybe a month. I LOVE colorado. I love the snow, I love the cold, I love the mountains, I love everything about this state. (except maybe the yuppies from california that move here, and the hippies in boulder.)
But I have another secret lover.... the south.
My first trip to the south was to Tennessee. I went fishing there with my dad (as I do every year). I fell in love. The beauty, the people, everthing. I was in a little po dunk town next to a lake. It was swampy and amazing. Cypress trees, swamp turtles that covered logs and banks, and cottonmouths that would fall into the boat if we made too much noise under a tree. Our guides name was Cletus (seriously) and he was awesome. He actually cared about giving us a good time and helped us out. Something you dont find much anymore. There were good 'ol boys everywhere you looked. I say again: I fell in love.
And to my great excitement, I am going back. Fishing with my dad again. Not to Tennessee, but to Arkansas. Not the same. But close. Instead of cottonmouths, they have alligators. Swamp turtles turn into snapping turtles. I cant wait. I'm leaving tommorrow morning. Early, I might add (4:00). Not exactly excited about the drive, but its worth it.
Anyway, I thought I would share this lover of mine.
(oh and I'll be leaving y'all for another couple of months in about 2 weeks. Due to my return to the ranch, but I'll make a formal goodbye later...)
