The quarter is off to a great start for me. Classes have not even started yet and I already have issues with two of my classes.

I am taking two online classes this quarter and I have had online classes before in the past without any difficulty. But now I have issues with both my online classes. The first class as you probably already know by now I just don't like because we have to do interviews for the class.

My other online class which is an English class I have deduced that my teacher is just an idiot. How have I come to said conclusion so soon?

Well I was reading the syllabus for her class and noticed that it was like a week off. The days and the dates did not match.

For instance the first assignments we have due for the class she says have to be done by Thursday April 5th and Friday April 6th.

The 5th is a Sunday, and 6th is a Monday.

And it is not just a typo, her whole syllabus is like that. Every time she says something is due on Friday and then has a date, the date is really a Monday.

So I emailed to her, and this is exactly what I said in my e-mail:

I was just looking at the syllabus for the Women and Literature class and the days and dates do not match up correctly. It says that the syllabus quiz has to be done by Friday, April 6th and the Introductions posted by Thursday, April 5th. But the 5th of April is Sunday and the 6th of April is Monday. So I was unsure what was intended.
And her response was The class opens on Monday

So I think to myself, yeah I know classes start on Monday, but how does that address anything I said, or the fact that the dates on your syllabus don't match up?

So I am just going to presume she means Friday the 3rd and Thrusday the 2nd. And let her figure out on her own that she wrote it all wrong or let some other sudents notice and complain.

    I wonder if she had a calendar from a different year. I bet she did. Perhaps it was an honest mistake that any idiot professor can make. You must realize professors are not that much different than students. In fact they are students who never could feel comfortable in the real worlld and so decided to close themselves into an ivory tower.

    *face-palm* People can make mistakes, but the idiocy lies in not correcting it when it is pointed out to you directly.

    Yes that is my problem. I can accept that she made a mistake, but when I point it out to her and her response is completely unrelated to what I said and does not acknolwedge the problem. That is when I am just like what is wrong with you.

    Yes it seems like she is just not comprehending... probably can't really concentrate enough to read the few sentences you wrote. At least that's what it seems like.
