This was the first St. Patricks Day i've been off in about five years so i went into town yesterday to support a dublin band called The Script who were performing live in New York. I also watched some of the parade, but left after a while as i was hungry! We were very early so we stood around down in Christchurch for a while. Heres some pics of my day! (sorry they arent very good!)

    Hey I forgot to mention the pictures are great. That's a gorgeous Cathedral. If St. Patrick's Day falls on a weekend next year I will try to make the effort to go to the New York parade and snap some pictures for you.

    Nice pics!! I was about to say to you "Is that Al Roker???". Sure enough it is! I somehow missed it saying "NBC Today Show" above the picture. My mother was telling me that morning that she watched The Today Show and she said in the midst of it all she saw someone in the crowd holding up a Wisconsin shirt. She said "You know, the ugly gray with Wisconsin written in red?". There is sure to be one of us everywhere!!! Even in the midst of your St. Patrick's Day!

    By the way, if Virgil is going to get you pics, if he can, next year, I will have to attempt to get you some from the town of Erin. Of course, I don't know if I will be able to brave that craziness alone. Then I suppose I could make my way to New London (which becomes New Dublin on that day ). Of course, to make it easy for me, I could just stick to the festivities here in the city.

    Hey Virg! St Patricks day will be on a wednesday next year. (falls on the same date every year) Thats a beautiful Cathedral!)

    He LW, i didnt see that T! But i was in the audience. I'm short so more than likely didnt even make it to the screen!
    Pics would be great from everyone!

    I was wondering if she would've seen you. I am not tall either, but I probably would've pushed my way to the front to be on TV.

    Yeah, she talked about that again yesterday how she was watching it and this person was right behind/next to Meredith Viera, and they held up the big gray shirt with Wisconsin on it.

    I was beside, behind and next to the people with the banners. I had to keep moving to get a view for the pics.
