Hanging Hat

Rate this Entry
He waited patiently for his chance, and I gave it to him
Things said that cannot be taken back
Cannot be fixed
He pounced on the opportunity like a wild cat on its prey
Taking my love away from me before I could show my heart
Not knowing the implications of his rash action
For I do not fall peacefully

The noose slung over my shoulder as I walk down the quiet street
He will have a place to hang his hat tonight

You do have a way of reaching an intensity Kevin. I'm not exactly sure what's meant by the noose and hanging hat, but it feels very menancing.
