Racking up Sisters

I just received some AWESOME news...

My brother is engaged!

WHOOO!!

This is my second brother (I have three, all older than I), and he's the second to be married. My eldest brother was married this past summer, and now there's going to be a wedding the summer of 2010.

I have no idea what to expect with this one though- my brother is technically Roman Catholic, and his fiance (weird..I hate that word) is Muslim. I've just learned, though, that weddings in Pakistan (where Anam's family is from) aren't religious ceremonies like they can be here, so that's not an issue, but there are definitely going to be cultural practices that she'll want included, I suppose, and I know Jeff will de whatever makes her happy. She's not exactly the most religious person either, so I have no idea what to expect!

Basically, I think it's going to be the coolest wedding ever! I huge change from my eldest brother's giant, traditional wedding.

I'm So Excited!!!

There's one thing I feel weird about, though. My third brother dated this one girl for 7 years, and they just broke up a few months ago. They started dating when I was in the sixth grade (they were in grades 9 and 10), and so she's the person I would easily consider the closest thing to a real sister I have ever had. And now I'm realizing that she won't be at this wedding. That seems strange to me. It's weird that the one person I would have said without question would become a part of my family won't. Who are we kidding- she was already a part of my family.

I've known this for a while, but it's really setting in more now, for some reason...
