I really cannot help myself.

In addition to the 13 or so books that I am already reading as just part of my usual reading cycle. And still trying to get things finnished up for this quarter in school, I have decided to try and squeeze in reading two additional books for this month.

I just started reading The Handmaid's Tale, because board late one night, not yet feeling like going to bed I popped onto the Goodreads site and decided to drop in on the groups there I have been negelecting and noticed one of them was starting a discussion of the book for this month, so I thought I could probably manage that and I want to read the book.

And now on top of that, I noticed the discussion group here for All the Kings Men, and I thought, hey I want to read that book this would be a good oppertunity to do so.

So somehow I am going to have to try and manage to get both All the Kings Men and the Handmaid's Tale red by the end of this month, while still getting everything else done I have to do, and manange not to negelct the book I am currently reading purely for myself.

    I don't know how you guys can read so many books so fast. I am really envious. I am such a slow reader. Right now I'm juggling several books. I should just concentrate on one at a time, but I committed myself to several discussions.

    Baha... sounds like everybody in my house.
    There are roughly five books in the bathroom, four on the computer desk, one at the kitchen table, a few by the couch, and on the bed.

    I really enjoyed the Handmaid's Tale, but Oryx and Crake was a much better work by Atwood.

    Well having to read a book a week for my classess at school taught me a trick for getting books done. I calculate exzactly how many pages I would need to read a day to get the book done in a certain amount of time and then I just comit myself to making sure I do the reading

    Making reading a science distracts me from really reading...

    The only time I ever read a book in a day or two is when it's for class. I have to be the first one done!

    Apparently. My wife can literally read a novel a day. She zooms right through them.

    Ah, I think everybody is insane, we who are called "insane" are mearly just sane.
