Lately I've been realizing that so much of what I say here on the LitNet can be viewed as offensive, insulting, or critical. I told my Mom about it and she said that it's because I have no line between reality and my fiction world. Here on the LitNet I talk rather old-fashionedly because here everyone's bookish. But that doesn't necessarily mean bookish in the way I am, so I might say something that is meant to be a compliment but comes out sounding crass and rude. So, let me say that I do not mean to insult, offend, or be critical of anyone or anything unless I am asked to critique something. It's just the way I talk. So if in any way I've offended anyone I sincerely apologize. No one here is "insultable"

    Never took your postings in any other way except sincere (and insightful--which I'm jealous of--I really wish I were more clever then I think I am.) But it is good to evaluate how we come across somethimes. I often post without thinking how it might sound. I'm usually smiling/smirking when I post.

    mtpspur ~ Seriously, I think you're selling yourself short. I can't tell you how often I've admired your posts, especially when they are dealing with defending Christianity. I share your faith and admire the way you are able to say things gently and without prejudice.

    Your comments to me were very pleasing to the ego and the long suffering wife is already getting the pins out to pop the bubble. Thank you for reminding me of my Christian obligations.

    I've never noticed either, andave. I wouldn't let it worry you. I think of postings as walking in a crowd. Sometimes you can't help bumping into someone, but that doesn't mean you meant to be rude.
