a poem of light

I meditate upon Her White Teeth,
and the oceanic wisdom of Her Light.
She is fierce yet gentle, calm, loving.
I meditate on Guru Medicine Buddha,
"Tayata Om, Bekandze, Bekandze,
Maha Bekandze..."
my voice dies on the wind.
Raise your face, child,
Bear gracefully across this ocean
with wings of wisdom.
If I had a thousand tongues, a thousand lives,
in a hundred thousand years I could not describe
the beauty of this night.
