Veg KC

I went to a Vegetarian Society meeting... or I think they are called Veg KC or something like this,

for the first time...
and it was exactly as I remembered.

:D

But I am serious! :) It was! Now how could that be?

Anyway. It was nice. I enjoyed it, but it was kind of short. Actually I was on my way to the library (at UMKC)..

I know I've blogged about that before but I am sure no one remembers. There's a library at UMKC, Miller-Nichols Library.. anyone at all can read the books if they remain in the library. And the 4th floor is designated as a quiet floor! The public libraries here are noisy.

The 4th floor has literally thousands upon thousands of books on philosophy and religion. They actually have Caitanya Caritamrta and Srimad Bhagavatam! :) Nice!

I am thinking of maybe reading a good book on Kabbalah.

And everyone, I would very much like to share a video, it's called Ana B'Ko'ach. Hope you can get as much out of it as I have.

Glad you enjoyed the Veg meeting. There are some really good recipes on the internet, too, Nik. Check 'em out some time.

And as for the YouTube link, my system froze about two minutes into it. Tried again, no go. So I'll have to try another time. But what I saw was quite interesting, the music was nice, too.

Is that like an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting?

Thanks, Kiz, I will. Thanks for checking out my link.

I know, it's great, Becca! And it's not even the best, just the best I've seen. Oh I don't know if you live in a big city or not (you're lucky if you don't. I would sacrifice my library to live in a smaller city. Well, not literally, of course..), but if you do you should check any university libraries. When I first went into the library I half thought I was sneaking in, lol! But I found on their website it is entirely accepted for anyone to come in and read, although it's very difficult to get a card if you're not part of the university.

I hope you'll consider vegetarianism someday, Virgil, but I won't pressure you.
