A Ramble through Smilie Land

IN short dont ever ever ever do it unless you have a death wish, the kind of slow miserable death that takes years and years and years in hospitale in agony.

Maybe I should explain?
Well somehow ( probably because Im an idiot Ive managed to alkmy self into going on holiday to egypt next easter with some uni friends ) not bad really Ill probably enjoy it and I do actually want to do it, but I just noticed today that the particular trip we were looking at is a 3 day fleccua on the nile. And it only just clicked that this would involve slleping on the open deck and bathing in the nile.

Now every Egyotian who goes to school knows about Bilhartizia , plus they have annual awarness campaigns. Basically its a parsite in the nile and the irrigation cannals which is why you never ever swim or bathe or stick any part of your body in the nile.

So now I have to explain all this to people who really are enthusiastic about this trip and explain that there is no way come hell or high water that I am ever going to swim in the nile. Its pure insanity, plus personally I think someone had better look at this tour company and say Oi! what on earth do you think you are doing?

So everyone if you ever go to egypt Don't go swimming in the Nile.
