Silas Thorne's Journal

a simple poem

Rate this Entry
Hunting for books on cultural anthropology
I came across a young woman
bearing cakes, and covered delectables
into the library lift.
'They're not for me' she said, with a smile.
I saw her on the way in,
and again, on the way out,
but she didn't give me a cake.

I am intested in narrative poem.
I remeber one of my friends have written one poem for L.M. Montgomery's life, and it is really impressive.

What kind of cake was it by the way, Silas?! I know you wanted a piece of cake too and you were sad she didn't hand it over.

I enjoyed how you captured a snippet of a real experience.

Thanks Fifth Element! Is the fifth element Void by the way?

jon, there were sponge cakes and cream cakes with icing on top, round cakes with pink tops and square cakes with green and blue tops. And sugary cream donuts..with raspberry squirted on. Wow..now I'm hungry
Thought you didn't like the poem? I did tell you it was simple.

Usually when I don't like a poem I will leave no comments. If I happen to leave comments without praise, don't assume I don't like it. I am as strange as a poem, you see.
