Do you know what it is like to bare your soul in a piece and have no one read it or respond? No, I don't suppose you do. Try it sometime. Write about your most painful experiences, post it on a few boards and watch it go unread. Meanwhile, people posting their baby pictures or complaining about their high electric bills solicit numerous comments.

The opposite of love is not hate, it's apathy, and I realize now to what extent I am a superfluous, irrelevant accident. There's little comfort in knowning I've been right all along.

I've deleted it off the boards. Death, at least, loves me. When he comes, he will take me away to live with him forever.

Until then, I will try to be patient with him.

    Not an accident! Countess, you're a really neat person. The only thing is that you're different. THAT'S NOT A BAD THING! I mean, sure people think you're weird (i know how it feels) but when you find a person like you (and they do exist!) it feels beyond amazing.

    Why yes I do know what it like. But at least Logos loves me. Kathycf (I think) and Grace86 (I'm sure) do too. (Where is the smile icon??) Seriously most people do not express themselves well in writing--possibly becasue the letter is so much colder then the warmth, expression, that comes with verbal and physical communication. I have always found you interesting to read but I think in real life I'ld be scared of you. You are awesome and I am shallow. Hope this helps.

    Sometimes people don't comment because they don't know what to say. I think lots of people here can relate to your experience. I wrote an extremely personal poem called "Mother's Day" about a year ago that was gutwrenching for me. Nobody, but nobody commented on it. Sure, that hurt at first...but I posted it to get it out there. If nobody could think of something to say about it, that doesn't mean I am irrelevant. I can tell you this, you are a good writer and intelligent. I wish I knew you better. Please don't be so hard on yourself. I do that sort of thing too...so I think I can take my own advice as well.

    And mtspur is correct about a lot of things, including the esteem I have for him.

    By the by--that's scared in a nice way. Trust me I'm much more boring in person then my posted misadventures here. Kathy is VERY right by the by. You add needed personality to the forum.
