Exiled in a kilt

Update on life

Ok, must be laundry day today - the basket is now overflowing

I had fun last night (went for casual kilted), but I dont think I'll arrange to see her again. Our interests werent really similar enough & I didnt get the sense of any kind of connection.

I have also been following papaya's school bells thread, it is making me think I should do some correspondence courses or something - no college near enough to do night classes or anything like that. Maybe I should do some retail based courses or something along those lines - must look into it.

Too bad it didn't work out with the girl. But that course idea sounds great. When I had graduated and was in the work world, it felt empty without some sort of school learning. I tried initially to go for a master's in engineering, but frankly I was tired of that. It just didn't motivate me. And so I went for an english lit degree and loved it. I did it without initially thinking it would lead to any degree or anything, but eventually it did. Actually took something like twelve years or so, but there was a few years of not attending. Too bad there isn't a local college by you. Those local colleges are priceless.

I am sure a retail based course will be very helpful in your work.

Here is a link that I found -- dont know how useful that might be to you -- http://www.worldwidelearn.com/busine...ent-course.htm

So many of my friends have done certifications in Supply Chain Management. It has definitely helped them in their career.

Maybe, a certification in that will help.

    Good Luck!

Is there any kind of tuition reimbursment through work?
