This is a list of some Kids books that i personally have really enjoyed. Now from the title its a list for Chaney, but anyone out there with Kids at the independant reader or older stage, or just a big kid a heart like me, i'm sure many of you will enjoy some of these books!

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer this series is probably what sparked off my love of reading Kids books as an adult
Blart by Dominic Barker kind of a spoof tribute to the fab Prydian Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander- a series i had been meaning to read for years and finally read after some gentle nudging from Bailey!
Faerie Wars by Herbie Brennan These are just great, humourous too!
The Fourth Horseman by Kate Thompson this is a darker story but it is gripping...infact read anything by Kate Thompson
Knife (rebel Faeries) by R.J. Anderson I'm mentioning it again as it belongs on my book list
The Prydian Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander Of course these belong here! great story. No point recommending it to Chaney when big sis Bailey can!

For slightly older kids/ young Adult
Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen by Garth Nix These are a great teen fantasy trilogy.
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer Not everyones cup of Tea but i really enjoyed them. Any book that has me in stitches on public transport deserves to get a mention.
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot yes i've read them! but they start off really well! the last few gave me an itch, and from book six up, they are definitely for 15/16+
His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman they really are a must read.

So a small list! enjoy! let me know what you all think, if any of you get around to reading them!

WOW!! She just left for school or I would show her right now! she will be so happy. The list looks great. The Prydian Chronicles is a family favorite. My husband reads it out loud to us pretty regular. I think that everyone should have the pleasure of hearing my husband do all of these voices. I think Twilight may be a little older than Miss Chaney, but Bailey loved it. When I told her about the Anderson book this morning she was so disappointed that it wouldn't be out here until April. She asked where you live and I told her I thought it was Ireland (sorry if that’s wrong) and she just slumped into her chair. Why why why couldn’t she have been born in Ireland?! Her birthday is on St. Patrick’s day and she loves all things Irish, green, and fairies. Thanks, Niamh.

Aww poor Chaney! want me to send a copy over? she'd have it in a week or two and it would have the froud cover.
Yeah the last few books are a lot older, (more Baileys age) but i added them in case anyone else on litnet would be interested in reading some kids/ young adult books.

Oh I love most of them on your list! And the others are ones that I have to put away often at work! I used to love pretty much anything by Meg Cabot. I have the Missing series by her, and some of The Mediator ones, then other books like Victoria and the Rogue. At primary school I always read The Princess Diaries. Liked them a lot better than the movies.

His Dark Materials is amazing - but not only for children, the religious aspects are very prominant - but that's what i love about it. You can read it as simply a story, or something deeper
