    I cannot go through a list of 3000 novels. Couldn't they reduce it to 100 each?

    Virgil, do you mean you couldn't read a list of 3000 novels? Because if that's what you meant - a) you're not alone b) you're not meant to. I think you're just meant to pick what you like based on their recommendations. No one will be able to read a list of 3000 books. Plus - I don't think the series has finished yet!

    I glanced through the comedies. I was surprised to find Venus on the Half Shell by Kilgore Trout. I read this as a teenager and thought it was hilarious, but there's nothing from Kurt Vonnegut on the list? Really?
