Stumbling Blocks or Stepping Stones?

There was this poem that I read years ago, and it has never left me.
Its' wisdom has been mulled over time and time again by myself, and likely others who have had the good luck to come across it.
It rings so true and I just thought that I'd share it here today with whoever wants to drop in to visit me here in my Blog.
This is probably my favorite poem ever written, just because it has planted itself within me.
A Bag of Tools (R.L. Sharpe)
Isn't it strange how princes and kings,
and clowns that caper in sawdust rings,
and common people, like you and me,
are builders for eternity?
Each is given a list of rules;
a shapeless mass; a bag of tools.
And each must fashion, ere life is flown,
A stumbling block, or a Stepping-Stone.

Billy, my best friend, probably mulling over this very poem!
All photos were taken by me (yeah, the trusty cellphone) this past Summer.
