Exiled in a kilt

Part 3

Yeah, dont worry this is the final part of this & then I'll stop boring you all with it.

This is S2 the last year you have to do all the subjects, at the end of this year it gets cut to 8 subjects to be studied to national exam level plus 1 modular course.

This is also the year I peaked intellectually, it has all been downhill from here on out.

Modern Studies (Politics etc):
Andrew is a very able boy, who understands all aspects of the course
More

Latin:
Coping extremely well in all aspects of the course, but must try to improve presentation. Recommended to study Latin and Ancient Greek at Standard Grades
As I have said elsewhere the only Latin I remember is "in pictura est puella nomine flavia

Religious Studies:
Andrew has made excellent progress this year, but must be sure to expnd of his answers more fully - it is clear he knows the answer, but his written work often does not encompass his full knowledge of the subject
I still subscribe to the less is more theory.

Music:
Andrew has difficulty playing rythmically, and co-ordinating his left and right hands while playing
Again I blame the copious amounts of drugs.

Classical Studies:
Andrew puts a great deal of thought and effort into his work and is suitably rewarded by his results
Same teacher I had for latin, what can I say she loved me - she also happened to stay in the apartment above me, so I had to be sure of being on my best behaviour in her classes. On another note her neice was one the victims of the dunblane tragedy.

Computing:
Would do better with more effort
Most boring class in the history of the world - heres some numbers make a spreadsheet

Geography:
Andrew shows a keen understanding of the subject, but should not study geography at any further level as it requires maps to be drawn and Andrew is not neat enough
I went to school 5 years too early, later and I would have been able to use the Arc-Map GIS software instead. Also, damn my inability to stay inside the lines

English:
An asset to the class
This teacher was crazy, she made us meditate for 15mins at the start of each class.

Maths:
Has a clear understanding of all necessary theories, but more homework could be done
I didnt do any of the assigned maths homework this entire year.

French:
A very satisfactory performance, but work could be neater
We only had this teacher 2 months, the original teacher couldnt control the class and retired. The entire class was then put on behaviour reports for the next year.

History:
Displays good fundamental knowledge of periods covered, but has a tendency at times to rush work leading to silly mistakes
Science:
Able to be left to work with minimal supervision
Technical Education:
Shows interest in technology, at times takes too much time to make sure practical models are perfect instead of progressing to the next project
Yes, god forbid we try and do something correctly

Art:
Does not have required level of ability
And does not give a .....

Keyboarding:
Does not display any interest in the subject
What do they expect they were trying to teach me to "touch-type" - " NO! you're not allowed to look at the keys"

Home Economics:
Sewing is not Andrews strongest suit
That is an understatement

Phys. Ed:
Andrew would enjoy Standard Grade P.E
I would have but it would have not furthered any career aspirations.

At the end of the year I took the following eight subjects at Standard Grade:
Biology; Chemistry; Physics; History; Latin; English; Maths & Technological Education (Pnuematics, Mechanics, robotics, electronics, and structural viability)
For my module I took Phys. Ed. this has given me some of my wierder qualifications (basketball officiating and coaching, trampolining, diet and fitness development)

I am quite shocked that sewing was not your strong suit. You always struck me as a sewer for some reason...

I hated learning sewing, my teacher was mean and I was always afraid I was going to sew my finger to the cloth...sewing machines are kinda scary.
