The big moon, idiot in a van and other stuff

So i was in work this morning for 6am, right, i'm in my Taxi yapping to the driver and we turn to head towards northern cross and Oh my god! Right there between two cranes was the largest moon i have ever seen! it was unbelievable! It was this massive gold (slightly crumpled as it wasnt full) disc! i never seen it so big before. It honestly amazed me!

So i'm focusing on the moon talking to my driver and we are driving up the N32 towards Bewleys Hotel and the M1 when my driver slammed on the breaks because some idiot in a white van decided to shoot out from the clonshaugh rd without stopping to see if there was anyone coming and we almost slammed into him. Now the weather hasnt been the best and the mornings are very icy and the roads are dangerous so this could have been a nasty accident if my driver hadnt noticed what the idiot in the white van was about to do. (insert loads of curse words)
But anyway i made it to work safely, thank god!

We had Michelle Jackson back in doing a signing. Shes such a lovely woman. She was in signing her book Three Nights in New York, which is only available in the airport with us. Not out till june. I havent read either of her books yet, but i've got myself a personally signed copy of her book, which i will read!

I found out yesterday that i'm starting as a Duty Manager at the end of next week! cant wait! but the thing i'm happiest about most is the fact that i now DONT have the crap christmas roster of late Christmas eve and early stephens day, but now have 23rd, 24th, and 25th off and a late on Stephens day! woohoo!!

They had a special sale in Duty free today. Usually the really large bottle of Flower by Kenzo id €72.95, but for the same price today they had a gift set which had the really large bottle, a small bottle and a body lotion for the same price. Plus i got a free Davidoff clear water lotion and a small bottle of ckin2u for men. I also bought myself a loreal lipstick, and with the 10% staff discount on for today only, i only paid €78! The Lipstick alone was about €15! So i'm putting the small bottle of Kenzo, the lotion and the Davidoff lotion into my mams stocking and the ckin2u into my dads, and i'm keeping the large bottle for myself as a christmas presant/ duty manager job celebration presant!

Oh and i havent bought a book! My ban is being successful! ( I havent bought the Michelle Jackson book! its in my intray waiting for me to lift my ban! )
Only problem is i've been too wrapped up in writing that i havent had time to read anything! And i'm not going to take away from my writing because i havent been doing great for years with really bad blocks, but suddenly its lifted and i think i've written about 160 pages on my computer and notebooks (i've already filled two!) in the last month alone!

Its all good! Looks like December is going to be a good month!

    I must admit that when I read that in my usual skimming way I read Michael Jackson was doing a signing. The funny thing is the rest made perfect sense. "Shes such a lovely woman." Hmm, I guess one can consider Michael Jackson a woman. He's kind of borderline.

    I didn't know, i said to myself, that Michael Jackson wrote book.

    Congratulations on the rewards of your hard work. Wow, you get to work at six. That's even earlier than me.

    Oh, not having to work during that time is the absolute best news of it all!

    Well, I am proud of you that you are managing to not buy any books. I had a terrible movie addiction when I was in junior high school. I bought so many movies all the time. That evolved into the book addiction. Eventually, my music-buying addcition had taken over everything else. I haven't bought anything in a LONG time. I have to tell you that it is painful! I hope that you will be able to make it through this without too much suffering. The no book-buying for me is hard, but that music thing is probably going to be the death of me someday!

    That moon sounds interesting. I wonder how it looked here. It was too cold to even bother looking at it, for two seconds, anyway. Oh, and bad drivers!!!! The weather was so bad yesterday. Bad, bad, bad!!!! Some of the stunts that people were pulling were unreal!

    By the way, what color lipstick was that? I tend to wear Loreal. So I am curious to see what color it was.

    Too bad you couldn't have snapped a pic of the moon, it sounded awesome, Niamh!

    When you spoke of the deals at the Duty Free, I actually pictured the place (I had coffee while my hubby sipped some ale waiting for our flight back in early summer). Your mam and dad will be very happy with their gifts, I am sure!

    Congratulations indeed on the promotion. I don't know of anyone more deserving than you, and you do us all proud! Yay Niamh!

    So does clear water come in a blue bottle? Is that the Dublin version of Cool Water, or does Davidoff make another variation of Cool Water calle Clear Water? I'm curious now...I was going to do a blog entry but now I need to look into this. Davidoff makes awesome smells...I had a dream about Cool Water cologne last night. Weird. My hs crushes both wore Cool Water (and also Snoop Dogg put out Lodi Dodi where he's talking about his Cool Water cologne)

    Weird weird weird things are a happening. Must be the moon!

    I was just gonna say, the reason it's so big is because the moon was as close to Earth as it was gonna get, but Virg beat me to the punch .
