A Little Bit of Everything

Could you help me...

Rate this Entry
I am doing a school project and I was wondering if you could help. All you have to do is in the comments write 2 things.

1) a quote you think epitomizes your beliefs and/or life as a child

and

2) one that represents you now

It can be a famous quote, a lesser known one, or even one you come up with yourself.

I'm a bit busy so I'll explain what this is for later. [:

Thanks!

How about I give you two each.

Ok, as a young man (I was never a child )
    1. Alan Lakein:
Time is equal to life; therefore, waste your time and waste of your life, or master your time and master your life.

    2. Winston Churchill:
Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.

    Now:
    1. Laura Schlessinger:
Life does not have meaning through mere existence or acquisition or fun. The meaning of life is inherent in the connections we make to others through honor and obligation.

    2. Shakespeare, from Hamlet:
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than your philosophy ever dreamed of.

I have no idea who Alan Lakein is, but I used to say a very similar thing when I was young. I used to say that if you do the same thing day after day, then you haven't lived a lifetime, but a day. There were quite a few quotes that I went through that could have fitted ofr now, but I really liked Laura Schlessinger's.

Thank you Virgil! I think I like your wording better than Lakein's actually... [:
