How You Dare

How You Dare

How can you
do this to me
how do you dare

After everything
I fought for
every inch I gave

You think you
can just stroll
back in

That you can
torment me so
try and strip me away

Have you so soon
forgotten that
you were the one
who closed the door

I held on as long
as I could, gave
all I had

But you remained
doubtful, you questioned
every corner
listened to the
lies of others
finally disappeared

Now you think
you have the right
to show your face

I have moved on
and lived again
it has been more then
a year with nothing
from you

Now you blame this
on me and try
to pretend
everything
could be just
the way it use to

Well I keep telling ladies men are dogs--and if the poem is about a lady--harpies.

Psh! Dogs are quite loyal and faithful......nah, I myself am not one of those Amazons that goes on man-hating rages. In general I get along with men far better then the female sex, but this poem is about one particular man
