Just Breathe Just breathe waters close in feel icy fingers grasp how quickly panic starts to rise darkness begins to embrace; cold comfort offering feelings of the womb close your eyes and let go falling freely just breathe
When I saw the titile I flashbacked to this morning at 1 am walking the dog round the block. That horse tried to run me and I was trouble catching my breath at the end of it. A sad testimony to my physical shape I fear so I was actually glad when instead it was about drowning (to me mind you) and Kate Winslat and Leonardo Dicaprio are harminizing in the brain cells as I type now.
Hehe It is more of a metaphorical drowning
Metaphorical, huh? You know the old question of death by fire or death by drowning. The scary part of drowning is the point where you have to accept your fate and just breathe. That's what I thought you captured here in a chilling yet artistic way.
Thank you very much. Yes in a way this poem is about just letting go and accepting, though inspire of the drawning reference, I had not originally set out to make it a negative
