It could get up to 60 degrees tomorrow. I’m excited about the nice weather. We are having a cookie day where I worship and the kids will be able to play before and after they decorate cookies. Sunday night we expect a blizzard. I don’t know if the kids will be able to go to school before Thursday. Friday is their last day before the holiday break.

I’m worried about the weather because we have to take Mason for a test on Monday. He’s having an echocardiogram in a town about 1 ½ hours away. He has a murmur and when he had tick fever he complained about his heart feeling like either a brick or a cotton ball. When it’s normal it feels like rubber. Now if he runs too much it’s a brick and if he has fever it’s a cotton ball. I want it to feel like rubber all the time. I’m really sure it’s nothing to worry about so no need to freak out. I think the test will just prove that and that’s good.

Today is my husband’s birthday. I don’t know what we are going to do yet. If his mom doesn’t cook for him then I will. He just got called out to work so I guess that’s what we are going to do. Oh well - he works hard for the money… so hard for it honey… so I better treat him right He’s a good guy and I’m lucky to have him. I think his birthday is more special to me than to him, but I’m always thankful that he came to be.

That's a cute entry Mom-H. I'll be praying that the weather stays good for Mason's test -- Bullet used to have major heart problems and now I feel a little scared whenever someone has heart issues -- and I'll be praying that it always feels like rubber, too . Have a nice time with your husband's birthday .

Were those Mason's similes? Oh if so he's got poetry in him. I do hope it's nothing. I wish the little guy the very best.

Good luck with Mason's test! I don't know what sixty degrees would be for us here, but it would be a whole lot better than the minus forty-five Celcius we're having with our windchill factor tonight!!

Hope that your husband's birthday goes well, wish him the best from me here in the wheatfields north of you!

    Kizzo, 60F is 15.5C.

I don't think I could make it in Canada! That is too cold for humans.

Virgil, those are Mason's own words.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm sure it's fine. The Sheriff's office called my husband and asked him to work tonight so we cut wood all afternoon and he's being a police man tonight. It doesn't sound like fun to me, but it is just what he enjoys.

Well, I don't think that one ever really gets used to it, but the bitterness of minus forty somethings isn't all winter long. Honest. We have great days where the cold is not so intrusive (as in, no socks to bed, lol) where ice skating outside is where I want to be!

Glad that your husband is doing what is enjoyable, M-H, that is what really counts.

Kizzo, does -45 feel any different than -25? I would think it's all the same.

Good luck with Mason's tests. I am sure everything will be fine. And I hope that your husband did have a good birthday. I always think birthdays mean more to women than men. Except for my brother who actually had a fit because his son was born a day before his birthday and he actually said something like "There goes my birthday". He is the only man I know of that is like that about his birthday.
