Libraries
Time is on our side
Only when we have enough of it.
Soon enough it goes,
An endless river flowing nowhere.
Step into it once
And it can never be repeated.
I am just a man
Even so, I feel enervated.
People fear me,
What have I done to deserve this?
Are we not the same,
Is humanity not related?
I am not lonely;
Perhaps this is just a denial.
Who are we really,
Can we all be so isolated?
We are not the same
And our lives are some form of trial.
Anger does not help
Neither contemplating suicide.
Have I had enough
Of these days of dull repetition?
And day after day
Being just the same on the inside.
Yet, externally
I will slowly change on the outside.
This is nature's way
Of judging a book by its cover.
In a library;
Housing dusty shelves of us inside.
