Fingerprints

My husband and I finally took care of getting our fingerprints taken for the adoption process yesterday. We didn't have to go to the police precinct to get this done. I had found an agency while searching the Internet that makes house calls. It's an agency run by police officers that make visits to your home or office. It was so convenient. The whole process took about half an hour.
I found out from the guy that if we went to a police station, who knows how long the process would have taken. First off, the police station only does fingerprinting for a 2 hour period and it's not everyday which makes it very difficult with my husbands work schedule.
Second of all, having it done in your home is less stressful than going to the police precint.
We probably paid more by having it done in our home but at this point I don't care. I can now cross this off our list of things pending.
From what I have been told, once I send the fingerprint cards in, it will take about 6 weeks for background check. Once results are back, our Home Study can be finalized and hopefully move on to the next phase.
