[just a quick note, the first word of the 11th line should read like the english word "hey." I wrote he not as in the english word but as in the sanskrit prayer (he krishna karuna sindho etc...) which shound sound as "hey"]

We labored for twenty days under the dark and storm-grey skies,
and threw ourselves down with great relief, upon the sea-swept ground,
we kissed the ground and cried in glee,
our arms and souls spread wide as we embraced the sight,
and spent so much time in exultation,
we danced and sang and cried.
we fell down from our perch and worshipped idols in distant lands,
we fell for false gods and pure hearts.
how joyous was that year or day or night in lands so foreign!
what will we take with us from our journey to the land of liberated ones?
he krishna! govinda! we are going home!

a night or day or year, it seemed like eternity.
and now who are we, who cannot leave the stars enough alone?
a burning flame of knowledge in the heart,
who are we that fell in love, shall we e'er know?
we spent a score of weary days under such a heavy sun.
and now to have our burdens lifed, and our hearts illumined, it seemed too much.
but we simply count as one, as time goes by,
all the little tricks our loving father plays on his children,
illusion wrapped in illusion, it simply brings confusion.
and the simple answer before us always;
if we don't try to confuse we will not be confused!
