the whirl of passion

Rate this Entry
you suddenly appeared before me
like a ghost from the past
that jumped up from the darkest sides of my mind
to lead me to a secret chamber
with thousands of drivels hidden under the sheets
to get lost into the whirl of passion,
into the whirlwind of the silence of your blazing eyes
while the tuning of the violins was heard
like mystic melodies,
presages of the awakening of our hidden selves
and the light of the white candles was pulling me
not towards an exit,
but to my own dark dungeons

*something i wrote some time ago and decided to render into english. still, i think the original sounds much better, though none of the two versions can be regarded as a poem.

This is a great poem, maraki!!! Now, I know that you don't regard it as a poem, but it highly poetic, in my opinion. I fully agree with Dark Muse, it is a characteristic example of poetry in darkness. If you don't mind me say so, it's like reading the lyrics of Tuomas from Nightwish- I bet you know the band, right-. Do you enjoy Gothic poetry and literature? If so, be sure to choose the subject during the 5th semester in the University, you'll just enjoy it!!! I loved the repetition of "chamber", "dungeons", "candles", "exits". They are images that communictae the feeling of enclosure in a perfect way. I love your images, maraki. You'll be great in Creative Writing!!! Keep giving us more!!
