I'm sick. Yuck.
Anyways, I have been thinking that I want to expand this blog. Add art and music to it, maybe like an art piece of the week or song of the week. I've also been thinking of getting my own blog page, separate from the LitNet, although of course I'd still be keeping up this blog.
So, I'll start with my song of the week: Habibi by Majida el Roumi, my favorite Lebanese singer. The melody will probably sound familiar to many of you; it is Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor, and it's such a beautiful, plaintive tone. Majida's voice is perfect, matching the melody for elegance and strength. Here is a translation of the lyrics for you from the internet. It's probably not the greatest translation, but I'm not any better.
Tonight make me live your love
Tonight make me hear your heart
Tonight make me forget in your hands
As the sun rises from your eyes
I have as much as this Universe
Oh the whole universe, my darling
What does this life mean?
A dream while the hours fly by
I give you all that remains of my life
My life is a moment calling you
Tomorrow and what's left of the days
Until the last day, my darling
I am part of you and you are part of me
No no don't leave me
You are my soul
You are the one who lives within me
You are the one who knows that I...
For you alone do I sing
I miss you so much my darling
Say a word my darling
And tell it to the world my love
That you are for me and my heart is for you
For you since before time began
And after the end of time
This enamored heart
What more can I say to you?
Tonight flood me with madness
Let that which was be
And the tear of the eye tells you
You are me
My soul
I love you my darling
