So last night I discover that thesewierd painful spots are probaly the shingles again... I always forget them until suddenly I get them again thats twice in the last year and a half Ive worked at the library. So I came back to uni for a groupwork meeting only to have unclean unclean yelled at me, they have warded me off with garlic too if theyd had it at hand.
Imagine a 29 yearold who hasnt had chicken pox.
So I spent the day wandering around my empty flat ( oh this is after rushing back to my flat so we conducted the meeting by email and messnnger, I had to use meebo because MSn is Dead )
singing
shingle bells shingle bells
shingles everywhere
oh the ichty ictchy terror
when the spots start sprouting on your hair

what can I say I was bored and the this time the spots are all on my head.

ahhhhhhhhhh bored boored bored

The only time in my life I had a lake cabin offered to me for a week and the long suffering wife manages to get the chicken pox--age 25. Since part of geting the lake involved dropping by her college roommate's place that would have infected her kids--so no trip--no lake. Sigh. In reading this to the long suffering wife she told me she was 26 or 27 when this almost adventure happened.

Oh Night, that's lousy. My mother had shingles and they crop up every so often. I don't think one ever gets rid of them for good. I think the virus or whatever it is stays in your blood stream dormant and then springs on you. You might want to ask your docgtor if I got it right. Sorry to hear about it. Get better.

I have heard the same as Virgil regarding shingles. My friend's mother was hospitalized for a few days for a very bad outbreak. Of course, she is in her early 70's and I think there were some other health issues too, but shingles can be horribly painful. I hope you feel better soon.

I stand again exposed in my ignorance (again). Had no idea shingles was more then just a week long annoyance. My comment was meant to be in the so sad/so glad stage. I obviously have never seen them. Do hope you get/stay better. Sorry.

well you can potentionally get really really sick with them its somthing to do with the way they follow a nerve, Sort of like a particular strand of tonselities can give rumitoid athritus .
and yes virgil its because chicken pox virus 'lives on' inside me and occasionally wakes up of course its supposed to be a illness of the elderly apparantly and it doesnt bothe me much now but potentioally it could cause problems but fact is Im more than well on my way to being back to normal by now so no worries.
