I've been searching for this tune for so long!! I had the CD at one time, and then for the longest time I was trying to find the name of the album, so I could find this song, because I really like it-- especially the guitar licks, that was what I was really trying to remember... and then all of a sudden my dad says "Christ you know it ain't easy," and I remember! I knew the song and album was by John Lennon, with Yoko Ono I'm pretty sure, but I still couldn't find it... now I shall be able to easily for sure.

    Nik I went looking through my John Lennon and couldn't find it. I knew I had the song. It turns out it's a Beatles song, before they broke up. It's called The Ballad of John and Yoko. I did have it, I just was looking in the wrong place. I would be glad to give it to you, but I don't know how to send it. If you know of a way, it's yours. Otherwise you'll have to buy it.

    Nik, isn't this tune on the Beatles White Album? A friend of mine had the LP record (double white it was), and I am SURE that it is a collector's item, and that this song was on it!

    I own it on CD. So, I know that you can find this song on the CD of "The Beatles: Past Masters, Vol. 2". Voulme 2 has a white cover (Volume 1 has a black one). OR you can find it on the Beatles compilation album "1967 - 1970" (a.k.a. "The Blue Album").

    Well, I listened to it on Youtube so that's good enough, Virgil, thank you for the offer though! Sorry to get a song stuck in your head, Shalot! Hopefully you didn't get it there again. Kiz I know most of the songs on the White Album, I guess I only had gotten Side 3 and 4 (not sure, those songs I recognize better) loaned from my friend Cristian.. but according to Wiki song list for it, I don't see it on there...

    now somehow I used to have an album of John and Yoko and this was one of the tracks on there.. I didn't care for the rest of the album that much, but then what did I know of music then? But looking at the lyrics I can see that a love song for Yoko is really beautifully written..

    I love the Ballad for John and Yoko...mainly for the guitar.
