I have not been in touch here for a spell due to visitors, a bit of travel (yay, to the waters due North of me ... Wobbly Pier and all!!),

AND

I bounced off my driveway a couple of days ago and had to be taken to the Hospital for a check out. I had a goose egg on the back of my head (upper left side), and my husband said that my eyes were 'funny' ...

My knee is terribly screwed up (I am getting an X-ray today), my elbow is wonky (no piano-ing for moi for a spell, dammit).

So I have not been my usual cheerful upbeat self lately, as the lifestyle I embrace has been compromised due to this incident.

WHAT HAPPENED?
It was raining very very hard, sheets of it, and I was dashing to get to the car which was on the driveway. My husband had been working in the garage. On my way to said car, I turned and noted that the garage door was open. And I mused to myself, "I wonder if hubby knows that he left the garage door open" .... and with that thought, my right foot caught in a mess of garden hose which was fatefully displaced right where I was headed ....

and

BANG

I know that my head bounced. It did. Really....

Thanks to Pepper, who was gawking out the front window, my hubby was summoned with the barking from a dog who sensed that I had not planned to bounce around in the rain on the driveway ...

Another topic that I wanted to say something about was that I truly hope and pray that B-Mental (our dear dear Pete) and Papayahed are doing good and everything is getting better. The situation out there is so scary and I've had those two members on my mind constantly lately. For anyone else that lives out that way, take care.

    oh, kizzie, I'm so sorry!!! I hope you are/will be feeling better soon!! Take care of yourself! And yeah,I've been thinking about Papaya and B too.

    Oh Sweetie-Kizzie-Shou!! You'll get better soon, yes! Pepper is kind of your hero, isn't she? Oh, a grammatical question now: you said that you hope Pete and Papayahed are doing "good", and I often say the same thing ("doing good"), but an old geezer who is part of this forum always told me it was wrong, and that I should say "doing well". So, is the old geezer right and are we both wrong, or is the old geezer really getting oooold? I will be waiting for your answer

    And Pepper saves the day! I'm so sorry about your accident. I hope you recover soon. If you have a concussion it may take a while. I've been worried about B and papaya as well, really more about B. I think Papaya is enough inland to not really get smashed. I bet it's wet though!

    What's the doctor say?
    "Don't do that!"

    The doctor walks in and says: "Kiz, you have a nasty bump on your noggin (medical term), a grade 1 concussion, and a wrenched elbow."
    Kiz: Gee, Doc, that sounds bad, do you think I'll ever play the piano again.
    Doctor: In time, with rest, I don't see why not.
    Kiz: That's great, Doc, I never could play it before.

    Dang Kiz sounds like a bad fall, i hope your feeling better. Thanks for the wishes, I survived my first hurricane!! Somehow most of the rain stayed east of my area.
