Chocolate

Okay. So it’s just gone one in the morning and I’m staying up because I’m making an egg. Reasonably long story. However I’ll fill in passed events first.
You’ve had my birthday (thanks for the birthday wishes, belated ones too) and the following Monday. So I’ll try and fill in the missing gaps.
Friday.
Quite simple.
The only real event that springs to mind is that Ms Banks let us all have one of the eggs that she set out for her class (there were plenty spare) and that we only did half a lesson’s work on The Wife of Bath, or WOB as I’ve now nicknamed it.
Saturday
I confirmed the details on Friday night. Tom arranged for the day off then agreed to go shopping with his mum. I didn’t care. In fact I was grateful. I didn’t really want to have to see him at all. He turned up too early, even by his usual standards so I answered the door in my pyjamas with my coat on top. He made me rush the unwrapping because his mum was in the car outside. I had time to say thanks and give him a thank you hug before he dashed off and I could close the door behind him. He had to point out that he got them from when he went to visit his girlfriend in America, like I actually gave a damn and that it made them extra special. He didn’t need to tell me anyway, I’m not so stupid that I couldn’t guess. I doubt any English shop, in his area, would sell a blank “spell book” (which is actually two slabs of cheap plastic with a bit of gold paint and a yellowish cord to hold it together and a few pages of blank paper.), a blank notepad with plain paper that has a 3D woman with dragon wings and a matching pen which is an appalling shape and size for proper writing (he said it reminded him of my character, Character B) and a book on dragons.
I won’t complain though. I should be grateful really. He could’ve got me nothing, though I wouldn’t have minded if he had.
Sunday
Nothing interesting to say
Monday
Already did a bit of an update. Went to school to do IT work. Got some done. Hopefully avoided a U grade. Dad dropped in hoping I’d be able to help him with the TV aerial, but I was going into school so I couldn’t. Managed to get 2 pounds off of him to pay my bus fare, just before discovering that I already had two 2 pound coins
Was bored with the idea of waiting for a bus at the station so walked from the station instead. Browsed book shop for modern WOB then tried WHSmiths. Found a copy, had to check for right change. Dad’s 2 pound coin came in handy.
Tuesday
First day off without going into school. Nothing to say.
Wednesday
Dad came round, fixed aerial and installed digibox. Now have extra channels. Spent a while getting acquainted with new channels such as BBC3, Film 4, ITV2 etc. Saw The Mummy and The Mummy Returns (the latter was at 2 in the morning). Because digital channels repeat films about 4 times. Mum brought home a bunch of mini daffodils.
Thursday
Not much, a bit of Tuesday and Wednesday combined. Dad called at 8-9:00ish saying The Mummy Returns was on. Took great delight in saying I’d already seen it at 2am, seeing as he bragged about seeing the next episode of Torchwood before us when it was on. Mum brought home a bunch of mini daffodils and mini roses. She said it was because she’d be away from work for 4 days (Because of bank holidays and it was a shame to waste them) I agreed.
Friday.
Bank holiday. Mum home. Got mum interested in playing puzzles on my computer. Went to see 300. It was great. Miscalculated time, missed mum’s beloved Eastenders and first episode on new series of My Family. No great loss. Discovered Eastenders on BBC3 when we got home, so no loss at al really.
Saturday (Today)
Slept in late. Mum popped into work to catch up on stuff. Didn’t know, because I was asleep. Mum hogged computer most of the day trying to beat my score on a downloaded puzzle game. Succeeded once. I didn’t mind.
Had an idea to get her an Easter egg this year, it’s about time. Refused to pay a fiver for an egg in Tesco, daylight robbery I say, seeing as mum gave me a tenner to pop into Tesco’s to but kitchen roll, bread and my bottled water. Didn’t want to waste it. Had bright idea to make own egg. That’s when the trouble started. For about 1 and ¾ hours I’ve been up trying to piece together an egg made from crushed and melted, Cadbury’s snaps, both orange and chocolate. Made rough egg shape from kitchen roll wrapped in foil. After some trouble managed to apply chocolate to a removable surface on egg. Now have two halves in freezer (for quickness) and am trying to make them stick together without holes. Had brilliant idea to spoon chocolate onto foil and wrap around section of egg. Only trouble is it’s resulted in a weird effect and only half of the egg has it. Plan to fix that. I’ll tell you how it goes.
Edit: Okay, so the egg's not exactly great. I've run out of chocolate so it's half smooth like the inside of crumpled foil and half a lumpy bumpy thingHopefuly mum won't mind. And I had hoped to have some spare chocolate to write MUM on it. Oh well. Perhaps next year I'll stock up on chocolate any make a better one.
Now I'm going to bed, because it's now gone 3am and I'm shattered.
Bluebiird out.

) and the following Monday. So I’ll try and fill in the missing gaps.
