And So It Goes

Except for the cable being out six days the high wind damage and loss of electricity was only for three hours last week. Tonight a transformer exploded around 6:30 pm and affected about a three block area including my domicile. One of the tow drivers that reside near me did some calling around and Dayton Power and Light are saying may be a week and a half before fixing. They are runing low on transformers. DPL is generally despised and hated by the surrounding community and some is it can be laid directly at the feet of lack of diplomacy and customer 'sympathy'. They are already contemplating asking for a rate hike to cover all the repairs needed last week. My military background kicks in with the mantra that they were woefully unprepared for the worst and naively have been coasting all these years. Now its catching up to them but I suspect with winter soon to be upon us people will be more concerned with Christmas shopping by then.
Me I just think I wasn't meant to see House MD tonight. Yep--all about me and not likely to change any year soon.
At work --four calls on the board so I'm doing a quick entry why I'm away again for a few days--just hope cable comes back quicker.
One quick AAA story. Lady at store could not get her car in gear. Tow station driver arrives and begins chuckling as he removes her walking cane from between the gear shift and the brake pedal. which is why she couldn't the gear past Reverse.
