Okay, so I didn't finish telling you about the rest of my holiday, the things that originally put me off are still putting me off, but I will resume it after this little appeal.
Okay, so you may recall my uncle who has lung cancer I mentioned him along with my aunt who had the bowel cancer (the one who died while I was wracking my brains to write a story to cheer her up, or at least let her know we were thinking about her) anyway, best not get sad, or angry about the thing that killed her, so, You may also recall the Adventures of Badgerman comic I started, originally for my uncle's birthday but as time went buy it became more of a thing to try and cheer him up a bit before he died, well, that's what I hope for anyway. You may also know that I put Badgerman on Hiatus because I was stuck, I've been stuck for a while (I'll stick to the point and tell you what inspired me to start it again later) also, did I mention that he'll die in a few months if not before? The chemotherapy wasn't working so they stopped, so he could live what little life he had left without being in a hospital bed and all, which made me more determined to make Badgerman for him. Well, I suddenly remembered it while sitting here bored, I actually wanted to doodle something but I thought I must continue Badgerman for my uncle, he may not have long left and I was so disapointed with myself that I couldn't finish a story for my aunt before she died. anyway, so I've done 2 more pannels and the story looks like it could close before I finish getting to the bottom of the page so I've decided to cut the pages in half (when I come to editing and tidying it up) that means that it's nearly done, kind of, and I need to start thinking about the layout. Now we come to the point of my appeal.
What does a comic book actually look like? What's the layout? How are the covers drawn? What's on the inside cover? I want to know these little details because I want it to as closely resemble a real comic book as much as possible so that it has a certain familiararity to it. But I have never really read comic books nor collected them. I have a rough grasp of Manga but I doubt my uncle would get that. It needs to be roughly like a typical super hero comic book for the parody to be fully understood.
So, any help with this would be great and I promise that when it is finished I'll find a way of putting it online so you can see what all the fuss is about.
