Barmy Blue's Bland Blog

She returns again

Rate this Entry
Okay, so I've been away for too long. Reason(s)?
1) Couldn't be bothered
2) I promised I'd write up the rest of my holiday diary (a daunting task)
3) Changes to lit. net. blogs meant I couldn't write as much in one entry and it seemed awfully mean to take up 3 slots on the main blog page.
Sorry guys, sorry Rich, don't think I've forgotten about regaining my "most entries" title. I will be the Blog Queen again.

Reason for blogging now?
Bored. Listening to music so I don't want to play one of my games because then I can't listen to the music (it's on youtube) and I don't want to do any work.

Recent news.
Back at uni now, this is week 6. I have Writing fiction 1: Introduction to narrative, wednesday at 10am (was 9 for the first 2 weeks then they put it back to 10) I still try to leave about the same time I did the first 2 weeks because otherwise I get caught in the heart of the rush hour (and I'm going straight through the heart of London on a weekday)
and English lit. thursday at 2pm but I stay an hour after my class because the JCS is back and bigger than before (wonder how long that'll last ) I'm the only old member in a non administrative role (I couldn't do it, I'm living at home, it's too far for me to coordinate things, I'm lucky I can go at all)
What else, ah, my self critical analysis from the end of last year has been failed again, I have until november 9 to redo it again.
That's the short short update.

We're doing fine, no more from Tom though he must've sorted out his space problem because he's uploading the odd picture now and then and "to get into the swing of things again" he offered to draw free porn for anyone that asked.

Other news.
I've made a bowl for halloween, painted black with spooky shapes in foil stuck to it and glazed with PVA glue.
I put up the halloween decorations a couple of weeks ago.
Last week the JCS had a Super Smash Bros. night (I failed miserably but didn't mind, left at a reasonable time to get the bus, then the train (but I wanted to stay longer) got very annoyed because I was waiting 40+ minutes for a bus, one girl had been there since 8pm, so it was over an hour late. Everyone was angry)
The week before the JCS showed Akira but it went on too long and I got home at gone 10 which I was not comfortable with but I was okay (I'm not quite sure if it was worth it though, it was slow, confusing, seemingly random in so many places and the ending was not definitive (open to interpretation))
Last week some members of the JCS saw my JCS comic strip that I started drawing a month or so before uni started (because I didn't think I'd be able to go to the JCS this year so I decided to make my own)
Ripton is still head of the JCS even though he doesn't go to uni. anymore he has 2 job opportunities, a photographer for a magazine or (if it's approved) running a course at uni. in computer games (I think there's supposed to be more to it than that but that's basically it)
He now knows I call him the Puppet Master, but I doubt he knows why and he has been made aware of my comic strip but he hasn't seen it clearly.
We have no assigned room for the JCS so we're, effectively squatting, in a room that we could be kicked out of at any time.
And, last week he amazed me by being there before everyone else (including myself), though I was second to turn up.
Yesterday I finished a new manga I got a few weeks ago called Phantasy Degree "PHD" by Son Hee-Joon (I recommend it, it's fun) I'm hoping I'll be able to find the second volume.
I think that's enough space taken up for now, lots more to say though.
Oh well.
Bluebiird out.

So glad to see you back. This was the highlight of my Monday. Sounds like you are enjoying JCS as best yu can. Yes the blog redo was a bit og poke in the eye with a sharp stick but I was distracted myself for awhile by a new forum but that's gotten down to casual visiting--Litnet is still my primary social life. Good to see ya Blue.
