I read these words
and they reminded me
of something I once heard
on the radio

I think it was a Sunday morning
it was raining outside
so the words drifted through the fuzz

Somehow sad
another love song
I have heard a hundred times before

Thought I would change the static
but now the words
still play in my mind

I try to escape it
but now the words are everywhere
teen angst crowding my brain

The story never changes
even if the melody is not the same
names and faces interchange

But the words
seem to haunt me
wherever I go

Just another love song
streaming through the radio
and reflected in every verse

Now they crowd my mind
so I cannot think
and all I can write
is just another love song.
