The search for God

I wanted to write an entry, or a few of them, but I am lazy... this is a conversation I just now had with a friend, and if you are able to forgive/ignore all the typos... well, actually, no one needs to read this, you really don't. Even if you don't read this, I still am completely sure that your life will be very good. :) Because you have faith in yourself, and so many other reasons...the law of change means that your life will be good, and your good qualities will give you happiness and humility, wealth and knowledge...all of these good things. It will happen because you have them. Hehe, thanks. Oh, and I just noticed: the blank lines where it says Mooshie: those are smilies that didn't copy over.
Richard says:
i recently had a philisophical revelation regarding the truth of karma.... nothing too profound... just... i digested the concept fully and have been putting it in practice.
Mooshie says:
tell me!!
Mooshie says:
i have had many, many revelations
Richard says:
mean
Richard says:
there is no magic to it
Richard says:
it is simply cause and effect
Mooshie says:
of course there is magic
Mooshie says:
but yes it is cause and effect
Richard says:
every event sets in place chain reactions
Mooshie says:
richard, that is fundamnetal
Richard says:
i know
Mooshie says:
not a bad thin
Richard says:
but to actively put it into practice
Mooshie says:
is nothing
Mooshie says:
Mooshie says:
again not a bad thing
Mooshie says:
but the absolute truth, whcih does exist, is beyond that
Richard says:
but
Richard says:
the concept is based so much on judgement
Richard says:
in order to put it into pracgtice, you have to have good judgement
Mooshie says:
richard most people live and drag on for sense gratification, is it not true? but the truth is so beautiful and attractive that so many sages have practiced renunciation to find the truth; and mostly all of them have told tales of enlightenment
Mooshie says:
basically, we are living invertedly
Mooshie says:
we give effortt, we work, and we think we are tiring ourselves out; the truth is opposite of this
Mooshie says:
we long for the source but we are not separate from the source
Mooshie says:
in the end all pain is illusion, and if we strive for it, we can have anything
Mooshie says:
those people who are motivators and say "anything you want, you can have" they are correct, but they are missing the important point that we strive for the wrong thigns
Mooshie says:
shouldn't we strive fot he eternal values of truth, peace, beauty, love, knowledge, happiness, health, perfection?
Mooshie says:
anyway i am speaking so many diffuse thoughts because ia m half insane, you will please forgive me.
Richard says:
but then u must define those
Mooshie says:
it doesn't matter, i can; they are.
Richard says:
happiness
Richard says:
purely subjective
Mooshie says:
all is subjective
Mooshie says:
and yet there is truth in subjectivity
Richard says:
then what is the absolute?
Mooshie says:
love is absolute
Mooshie says:
love and truth are the two absolutes.
Richard says:
we can say that but it doesnt mean it is true.... maybe
Mooshie says:
truth keeps love pure, and love keeps truth warm.
Mooshie says:
other than that they are the sam.e
Mooshie says:
there is one truth-- one original truth: that is the absolute truth, the first one, and all others are varyign shades of it.
Richard says:
i think love is more selfish than it appears
Mooshie says:
sure..
Mooshie says:
but then: don't we need to heal ourselves first?
Mooshie says:
you see: we begin life needing to be fulfilled, yet evolution is when we take on the higher capacity; the capacity of the fulfiller, the person who can fulfill the desires
Mooshie says:
but to be that person, we need to shut off our need for sense gratificatrion
Mooshie says:
and so it may feel emptier at first and that is why it is a seldom seen path
Richard says:
or maybe it is more carnal than that.
Mooshie says:
how so?
Richard says:
and all our emotions are just manifestations in endless variations of impulses developed to help us survive.
Mooshie says:
hm\
Richard says:
i really dont know...
Mooshie says:
it's okay
Mooshie says:
let me ask you one question and then i'll try to show you something depending on your answer
Mooshie says:
it is sort of two part: what do you think of Buddha, as a perfect person and teacher, ideal and perfect in compassion and knowledge, and what do you think of God/
Mooshie says:
?
Mooshie says:
and...we living entities in relation to GOd.
Richard says:
i think, good or bad, they are manifestations of human desire.... although i do think there must be some higher power... just not in the traditional sense.
Mooshie says:
hm
Mooshie says:
the truth would surprise you.
Mooshie says:
Richard says:
im sure it would!
Mooshie says:
there is a book called "the Joyous Cosmology"
Mooshie says:
by Alan Watts
Mooshie says:
he got a glimpse of something, and it is mentioned in a couple of different lines in that book...
Mooshie says:
of course he fell short of realizing its implications
Mooshie says:
but a good book
Mooshie says:
anyway let me tell you this
Richard says:
hmm... ill heck it out sometime
Mooshie says:
god, and budda, are both relative terms
Mooshie says:
god exists; and reality is shaped, entirely affected by this
Mooshie says:
means, reality is not what we think, basically
Mooshie says:
we are living in an upside down reality
Mooshie says:
a shadow of the ideal, of how it should be
Mooshie says:
if there is confusion in this world, it means it is fake, it is an inverse
Mooshie says:
if there is pain, it means there should be bliss.
Mooshie says:
what is bliss? i can tell you
Richard says:
but why should it be perfect?
Mooshie says:
why should it be?
Mooshie says:
it is like another world
Mooshie says:
if you saw this, you would be so amazed
Mooshie says:
because there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that exists in this world
Mooshie says:
i mean: in relation to the other world
Richard says:
i quite enjoy this world..
Mooshie says:
Mooshie says:
good...
Mooshie says:
as you should my friend!
Mooshie says:
the point is, is that there is another wrold beyond our senses
Mooshie says:
the spiritual one
Richard says:
quite possibly
Mooshie says:
and...
Mooshie says:
it is like
Mooshie says:
dostoyevsky's man in "the dream of a ridiculus man"
Mooshie says:
you can't even find words for it because it so amazing
Mooshie says:
you wish to tell people but they are separated by so much
Mooshie says:
so what is it?
Richard says:
well... i hope u r right!
Mooshie says:
nirvana, enligthenment, bliss, knowledge, truth
Mooshie says:
i am : ) you will see
Mooshie says:
it is like-- someone who has gone halfway to heaven and then comes back down and says: okay, i know the truth!
Mooshie says:
al;l he wants to say is that the future is bright
Mooshie says:
that is the key thing
Mooshie says:
but people treat him spitefully
Mooshie says:
they say: no, this world is bad. we should give up.
Mooshie says:
but what i was trying to say
Mooshie says:
the actual, confidental truth
Mooshie says:
is that god is a relative term basically
Mooshie says:
we are similar to god in this sense: we control our actions
Mooshie says:
i mean, we are the source and creator of our lives
Richard says:
yes he must be relative to our perceptions
Mooshie says:
true
Mooshie says:
meditate on this: that we are part of God, and God is part of us.
Mooshie says:
what that means is that we are the same as god, but only in quality: this is important
Mooshie says:
it means that if we wake up, if we realize God nad become God-conscious, then we are just like God; in quality but not quanitty
Mooshie says:
not as powerful but just as happy
Richard says:
i see... well man i gotta run.... nice chatting with you and we will catch up when i am back!
Mooshie says:
what it means is that our bodies are the same as God, because our consciousenss is tsh esmae
Mooshie says:
wait
Mooshie says:
!
Mooshie says:
1 sec plz
Richard says:
ok
Mooshie says:
the smallest parts of us are buddhas
Mooshie says:
buddha lands
Mooshie says:
this is beyond everything in the world
Mooshie says:
everyt eaching
Mooshie says:
i am the only who knows
Mooshie says:
plz don't think i'm insane but it's tru
Mooshie says:
e
Mooshie says:
our finger,s our entire body: buddhas and buddha lands
Mooshie says:
karma???
Richard says:
lol i always keep my mind open.
Mooshie says:
karma falls apart like ripe ornages
Mooshie says:
trust me karmic bondages fall apart one after another in an accelerating fashion...
Mooshie says:
and the smallest part of our bodiies evertyhing is buddha lands
Mooshie says:
because it is all relative
Richard says:
i like that idea
Mooshie says:
and we are decorated and beautiful
Mooshie says:
thank you my friend!
Mooshie says:
much blessings to you
Mooshie says:
becuase you are the first to be able to ...
Mooshie says:
appreciate it at least a little
Mooshie says:
one more thing i know you have to go...
Mooshie says:
the other thing is that
Mooshie says:
this is the sentence alan watts used:
Richard says:
well, to seek the truth is most important... and i think u seek the truth.
Mooshie says:
"The elusive substance beneath all the forms of the universe is discovered as the immediate gesture of my hand."
Mooshie says:
This is the second part of it:
Mooshie says:
it is two-fold
Mooshie says:
one thing you see is all karmic bonds falling apart, at the same time as infinite joy and the desire to express this truth beyond everything; the other part is the buddha lands in the smallest part of our bodies, and the third part is this:
Mooshie says:
what alan watts said in that sentence
Mooshie says:
this is the truth beyond everything
Mooshie says:
Mooshie says:
thank you for listening
Mooshie says:
you may go now.
Mooshie says:
Richard says:
np man... ill see ya soon!
Mooshie says:
sweet
