Dumb blog entry alert!

I sure can make clothes in virtual reality...These are a few of the custom armors I made for an older action rpg called Dungeon Siege. I know, everybody will think this is all very silly, and not care. Tough.

It is complicated at first, because I have to write templates for each individual piece of armor, in addition to making the actual image of how the item will appear in game. But... now that I have the hang of it, it is lots of fun. I am all about personalization, and when you see something you created in a game, it is really cool. I think I would feel equally as proud of some other type of creative endeavor, such as seeing a poem I wrote published. Well, almost as proud, poetry is really more of an achivement.

I made my own custom shield too.

I didn't make the 3D model for this bow, but I designed a custom template for it. It is progressive, meaning for each level of ranged skill a character has, they will deal out more damage. If anybody is familiar with these types of games, that will probably make more sense. This bow is something the character can start with and it will grow in power right along with them.

Yea, as I say it is an older game. Came out in 2002, but I only got it a year or so ago. People can create almost any sort of new content for the game, which includes new maps with new areas to explore and new quests, so there is a great deal of replay value. Everything integrates together, sort of like a "plugin" type of thing.
