A Little Bit of Everything

Last night I made a discovery
a simple one indeed
that many people have found before
and have learned to take heed
it is the fact
that certain things
we eat just do not mix
like a bag of candy and buffalo wings
or caviar and chocolate chex
or soup and marshmallows
spinach and strawberry sauce
and much worse fried fish and jello

I found out one other thing
that truly doesn't combine
in a way that keeps one's stomach
from a bodily Columbine
Indeed it may seem obvious
but it wasn't exactly to me
that a whole can of Pringles
and three scoops of ice cream
just really don't agree

As I sat in my misery
and I felt all that pain
of the food in my stomach fighting
I began to feel disdain
for me being so stupid
as to have tried this concoction
which ended in the bathroom
and forgetting other options
so take my advise
eat dinner correctly
don't mix the unmixable
just skip it correctly
for indeed,
it all comes back
