Someone pointed out yesterday that I had/have been a member of the Litnet for over three years now, and at the time I said doh! yes Ive knows since the 28th of April, and didnt really think more about it. But this morning I started thinking about what those three yeas have actually meant to me, as a person. All the milestones I met all the major changes Ive had, I passed my A levels , finished schoool for ever! and ever! Applied for my first proper job had loads of regection eventually got my first proper job, got my second job and my third job ( which is really just better paid second job although I still do that as well) Got accepted to university, failed 7 (??not really sure of number Ive lost count now) driving tests moved into my first flat, had my first flat fire, saw someone take drugs, got offered drugs, said NO. was almost homless found my first house, ( actually this was nearly directly because of the litnet!) had loads of helpful house hunting tips from litnet members, had litnet people help me through the more confusing units of uni (thank you php fairies!). Met some BRILLIANT people, had people randomly pm me to check I was alright when some disaster happened somewhere in vicinity to where I visiting at the time ( bless your hearts ). Met some brilliant litnetters in RL, soon hopefully to meet more. Found an endless source of amusements, screamed some, cried some , sworn some.
Gained loads of confidence in RL from being here. Been give GREAT recipies, discover choclate Cheeeeeeeeeescake brownies!yes life is good
And that without mentioning smilies, shrubberies, bob, direct your own films, pirates, zombies, ninja monkeys, martians, penguins, dancing nana, wacky weddings, sparkly purple high heeled shoes, genies ,trolls, leprechauns elevation to modderdom, or any of the other things that have come my way in the last few years.
So thank you everyone, and arent we all glad to be here!
