Dalek Invasion of my Mind

Rate this Entry
I have just had a very weird dream. Weird but somehow fun at the same time. There was a Dalek invasion of London, only London, which obviously included the whole of London and not just Central London (because I’m in greater London). And they were taking people. They’d announced it somehow because everyone knew, and everyone was afraid (save for me, because I’ve obviously had dealings with the Daleks before (I guess that would be from me being a Doctor Who fan, hey it’s a dream, doesn’t have to make perfect sense)) anyway. The scene shifted to a mother in a nearby street trying to protect her child from the Daleks. Needless to say she failed and he was taken. Then the scene comes back to me in the kitchen with mum, and we don’t seem to be hiding like everyone else (because we’ve obviously had dealings with the Daleks before, and because of that, they knew us well). I told mum I was worried about one of my cousins in Essex, I might have gone through the list of other cousins if she hadn’t pointed out to me that they were only doing London (a small mercy, we’re the only ones of our family in London) Then, one hovered outside the kitchen door (there’s a big window in that door, so we could see it) then it teleported in, gloated a little and told us our new ID numbers, even though we’d forget them (he did it to show off) We knew that if we knew each other’s numbers we’d be able to find each other, but I didn’t have time to write it down. Then the Dalek took mum giving me a moment to think of something. Then, for some strange reason, I had K-9, the Doctor’s dog. So I told him to repeat our numbers, so I could write them on y arm but he didn’t repeat the Dalek numbers, he told us our real ID numbers (two completely different numbers) and before I could explain what I meant the Dalek returned and I felt sleepy and closed my eyes. I woke up a second later however it’d been longer than a second. (I forgot to mention earlier but while gloating the Dalek told us their plans, basically they planned to implant humans with Dalek embryos and create a new Dalek army (several flaws with that, the main one being I don’t think Daleks have embryos (they tried to grow them in series 3 but they failed) secondly, why humans, of all the animals to do the job and lastly, couldn’t they get a machine instead, instead of ‘tainting’ this new Dalek generation with humans (fair enough they weren’t going to be part human or anything, they were already formed, in that respect, but just needed something to grow inside of until they were big enough to be put into a Dalek shell)))
Anyway, back to the dream. The Dalek from before was gloating again (very un-Dalek like, I must say, as gloating is the result feelings and emotions) he said something along the lines of “haha while you were asleep you were implanted” then I was set free to roam the ship (spaceship, obviously, they couldn’t do this on earth) Then we descended to the realm of dreamy weirdness. Characters from an old TV show, Red Dwarf, were my old friends but they didn’t recognise me (because they’d been brainwashed and were now running a cafe) and they all had different names (why I hadn’t undergone the same brainwashing I don’t know, I guess it wouldn’t be my dream then ) I made friends with the other inhabitants (there were men, women, children, don’t get why. And, on that subject, why take mum? She’s in her 50’s so why would they implant a Dalek in her? Then again, now I think about it, she’s only beyond the age of reproducing, but all the necessities for carrying a life, that’s already been made, should still be there. I guess that makes sense now). So, anyway, it seems I’d forgotten about mum at this point and was trying to convince my friends of who and what we really were, with little success. I’ve forgotten a few bits in between but then it was revealed that they hadn’t really forgotten who they were, under torture they’d pretended to forget, keeping their real consciousness hidden deep down and then, of all times, I woke up and realised it was nearly 4pm. It’s not a good time to sleep in until, but, annoyingly, it’s when you have the best dreams .
I spent a while going over this dream and working out the point of having men and children there as well as women. I concluded that, the men could possibly be implanted too but that’s be too finicky so their purpose was for breeding future generations of humans to carry the future generations of Daleks. But that brought up a whole set of issues such as you can’t impregnate a human with a Dalek if they’re already pregnant with a human (and you don’t want to ex-terminate because you need it for the future) so I concluded that a small group of humans would be for breeding and the rest would specifically be for Daleks, therefore the Daleks would have to make sure the breeders were aware of who was a fellow breeder and who was a carrier of Daleks. Another problem was the families. I concluded that letting people keep their families would make them less inclined to revolt. And then, why pick your humans out of London alone? The only answer for that I can discover is, why not?

Well, that’s my fun and weird dream, I haven’t posted one here recently (mainly because any good ones I had I forgot )

Bluebiird out.
