‘scapegoat
My goat escaped Wednesday. The dog stayed with her, but he’s not big enough to bring her home yet. What a mess! The more trouble she is the more delicious she looks.
fairy land
We are finally to a point on our addition that we can paint, well, the bedrooms anyway. There is still some plumbing to do and some drywall to hang, but we’re getting there. My plan is to go ahead and finish the bedrooms (three of them) and move in to them while we finish the living room and bathrooms. Once the new living room is finished the old living room will become the dining room. That makes it sound like a long way to go.
Anyway, we are painting the bedrooms. My mother-in-law gave me all of her old paint so that we might save a little money. Today I mixed some paints together and made a very pretty color that is white with a lavender or pinkish hue. It’s so nice when the sunlight hits it. We painted part of my youngest daughter’s room with it. She loves fairies and this color is definitely a fairy color. The other part of her room we painted a sky blue. After the girls went to bed I painted a big tree and clouds on the blue wall and I did such a good job! It’s really amazing. I haven’t put the leaves on yet but I wanted it to dry first. Then we are going to put on grass, flowers, fairies and butterflies. Once it is finished I’ll take a picture and post it. I’m telling you I can’t believe how good it is turning out! All I can think about is what my sister will say- she'll be so proud of me.![]()
My oldest son came out while I was working on it and now he’s convinced I can paint anything. He wants outer space on his walls with dinosaurs and trains. I don’t know how I’m going to make that work. I'll start his room tomorrow. I don't know how all of this happened, I was going to do my room first.
