Did you miss me?

My weeked was... SPARKLY!!
Wow... I spent way too much time around my cousins this weekend. And my back is on fire. The good news is-- I tanned! Pale-like-mayonnaise me tanned for the first time ever!! My sister was so proud she slapped me on the back. Which is on fire.
Okay so Thursday my cousin, Sloane (1 month older) and Sunny and I rearranged my grandma's living room-- at 11:00 at night.
Friday we biked from Piney Z, through every twisty backwoods trail all the way to Tom Brown Park, back to Piney Z and eventually to Chase's Ridge again, where my Grandma lives. Then we went to Sloane's for a 4th of July pool party and there was a whole bunch of little kids there that we gave lit sparklers to. That's smart. Give the kids fire. Anyway, we went back to Grandma's, walked to the top of the Hill over there where all the Chase's Ridge and Piney Z people go to see fireworks and could see the Tom Brown Park fireworks from there and set off some of our own.
Saturday we did nothing.
Today we went to the Wacissa River and to Big Blue and Two-Hole (sounds raunchy, right?) sink, canoeing, of course. At Two-Hole there was an owl. A Barred Owl that we fed crawdads to, and it was amazing. Tow-Hole was named for a bridge-like limestone formation that you can swim under and it was really cool and the water was really , and most of the time I was the only one paddling. I feel like such a tomboy-- and a nerd. And I'm opposed to both of those stereotypes... lol
And when I got home I called David and we talked for an hour! What an amazing weekend!!
So now I'm finally back at the blogs, sitting at my computer covered in Aloe Vera that's not helping. My shirt hurts me... *cries*

Hey, hope that your sunburn gets better very soon! I also burn easily, so I know how you feel. One thing crazy is that I never saw what others saw in the power of healing of aloe vera -- it never worked for me.... am I an anomoly? Lots of ice water and Nivea Cream on the worst zones and I am OK for wear. Good luck! Other than that, it sounds like you had an awesome Fourth Of July all in all!

Great to hear you had such a good weekend!! I also hope your sunburn gets better very soon.... Doesn't sound like much fun!! I don't think anyone over here would have much chance of being sunburnt, or getting tanned, right now... What with it being winter and all And I am glad to see you back ... It gets lonely here

Of course we missed you. Sun burn is not a good thing. I remember as a child my mother taking us to the beach and getting roasted. Oh that was terrible. And she thought she was doing us good. Now I worry about the different freckles on my body one day becoming skin cancer. So I wouldn't make it a habit to get sun burnt. But it sounds like you had a great weekend otherwise.
