Checking In

I know by now quite a few of you have decided that I've fallen off the face of the Earth by now. Not quite, but things are still really hectic. It's been a month in my new house and I'm still unpacking, painting, hanging blinds, and trying to keep up on my family's normal amount of mess. I'm afraid I may be losing, but I did get some of my kitchen painted today. I'm starting a new goal plan of one room a week. I'll be finished in about two months at that rate:sick:
Everything else is going pretty well. I'm liking my new job, but I'm not quite comfortable enough to hop on LitNet there in my down time yet. I have been making good use of it, however. I've outlined a new story. I know I've not finished the current one, but I can't help it. They're both in my head, and it is cluttering things up a bit. I've written the prolog and a good portion of the first chapter. I've also organized a list of what research I need to compile for the story. This one will be more involved on that end than Kings, Queens, and Pawns. I'm excited about it, but first I need to get my first one wrapped up. I still know where I'm going with it, and I think I'll start using down time at work to write on it.
Other things going on here... Tom has come and gone. It was great to have him here for three weeks, but not so much to have him gone. I've complete responsibility for two kids, two dogs, the house, work, bills, and still completing unpacking and setting the house up. Tons to do, and there never seems to be enough time in the day to accomplish all that I would like.
Oh yeah, I had to take Victoria in to have her head sewn up last week. My little darling decided that it would be great fun to go running through my house all morning. Well, the inevitable happened and she fell. She hit her head on the table, and she split the skin right between her eyebrows. It wasn't quite an inch long, but it was deep enough that we had to take a field trip to the ER. The I had to argue with her doctor's office about getting her in to remove the stitches. Since she hasn't been in for her first new patient appointment, they were going to try and refuse her treatment. I threw a fit and threatened to take both of my kids somewhere else. That had an effect, and they scheduled her in. It just bothers me that I can't get things taken care of by being nice. Call while you are angry, and people jump to help you.
Anyhow, that is about it from this quarter. I'm trying to read blogs when I get the chance, but I've not gotten to many. I've left comments at none yet, but I'll get back eventually. Until then, take care my friends.
Much Love,
Meg
