Reflections on the puddle of life

Everything in its right place

Rate this Entry
So, it's been a month, and I'm still feeling a bit...I dunno, something, like I need to do something. It's been a good month, writing, playing with my kids, figuring some things out. I've still got, I think, a long way to go, but I'm getting there.

I've started working on a poetry collection, though goodness knows if I'll ever find a publisher for it. It's all about moments, inspired by feelings generated in a particular time or place. Here are two of the poems; the second is still a work in progress, and probably a good reflection of my state of being.

I'll be around, I think, maybe. Maybe not.

Oh my God, both of these poems are WONDERFUL. So much feeling, so much suffering, in silence, almost. Very good writing, brilliant, that really made me feel something.

It was truly great to hear from you, Fifth, welcome back! Your first poem had a very intriguing ending, bravo. And I also really found the notion of
    Duvet pressed against your chest.
    A shield.
    Between us
extremely well put. I loved it. And in your second poem I really enjoyed
These things, they crowd around me now
    pushing me out.
    and
Beyond the garden fence I sense another life
    going on without me;
    and
I linger here: half in, half out,
    suspended between two worlds
You surely are gifted with words that form the poetry that lingers in my mind for quite a while. Very glad to see you again, Fifth, take care, Kizzo

Nice to have you back Fifth. I like your poems, especially the first one. It has a very good rhythm to it.
